Fort McCoy, Walter David Wooten, 92, passed away on April 24, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. David was born on March 9, 1928 in Sarasota, Florida to Allen Wooten and Anna McClendon Wooten.

He is preceded by his parents and sons, Bryant Jole Wooten and David Lavoid Wooten.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Williams Wooten; sons, Vincent Wooten, Allen Wooten, Wayne Wooten and Abraham Wooten; daughters, Warita Wooten and Corcedia Wooten Thurman; numerous Grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Major Wooten.
