Warren Richard Fanucci, 86, of Ocala, passed away surrounded by his family Monday, March 21, 2022. Born in Scranton, PA on October 13, 1935, to Edith Morris and Frank Fanucci. He was a longtime resident of Waycross, Georgia. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors fishing or hunting but he was most proud of his many years spent as the Troop Master of Boy Scout Troop 320. Warren had a lot of titles over the years – entrepreneur, contractor, carpenter, grill master, friend, brother, son, Scout Master, and many more as the years went by. But without a doubt, his favorite title was Dad and then Poppa.
He is preceded in death by both his parents as well as his brothers Cliff and Frank Fanucci.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Fanucci as well as his children Michael (Robin) Gooch, Linda (David) Hackett, Robert (Lori) Fanucci, Alvin (Towanda) Fanucci and Michelle (Gary) Ridenhour. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren Kristen Magann, Melinda Gooch (Carlos de la Garza), Robbie (Kathy) Thrift, Marsha (Brent) Garthwait, Sarah (Tiffany) Fanucci-Lish, Catie Fanucci, Rachel (Shane) Rountree, Maddie Ridenhour and Lauren Ridenhour and his 6 great-grandchildren Brooklyn Magann, Henry Michael Lewis, Brennan Garthwait, Brooklyn Thrift, Hazel Trenerry and Luka de la Garza. Warren is also survived by his sister Marjorie Fields; and numerous nieces and newphews, and his loving dog Angel.
A Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m.Thursday March 24, 2022 at Countryside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
