Ocala - Willene W. Russell, 88, went to be with her Lord on September 25, 2017. Born on April 20, 1929, in Dothan, Alabama to Robert B. and Mary Mattox Williams, Willene was a dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend. She was an active member of Oak Griner Baptist Church since moving to Ocala in 1946.
Willene is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Russell and brother Frank Williams.
She is survived by her Son, Richard "Rick" Russell; Daughter, Rebecca Powers; Brother, Robert Williams (Linda); Sister, Wanda Doty (Jacob); 4 grandchildren (Ricky, Amy, Beth & Shelby) and 2 great-grandchildren (Jacob & Harper).
Safe now in the hands of God, free from pain, and in awe before the Majesty of Heaven, we will never be the same without her and always be different because of her.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Oak Griner Baptist Church, Ocala, FL with Pastor Pete Menendez officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will follow service at Anthony Cemetery, Anthony, FL. Arrangements made under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oak Griner Baptist Church or Hospice of Marion County.
