William Hart

HART, WILLIAM ALAN
OCKLAWAHA- William Alan Hart Sr., 89, passed away, February 5th, 2022 in Ocklawaha, Florida. He was
born June 24th, 1932, in Orlando, Florida, to Dwight Lee Hart and Edna Mildred Yates. William was a
Veteran of the United States Air Force. He served as a volunteer firefighter with the Ocklawaha
Volunteer fire department. He was an active member of the Ocklawaha United Methodist Church and
held many positions in the church including lay leader. William retired from the Marion County School
System as a high school vocational teacher. After his retirement William traveled around the world
extensively with his wife Mary and also traveled to many 3rd world countries as a missionary teaching the
residents of underprivileged villages how to be self-sufficient.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Edna Hart.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; son, William Alan Hart, Jr (Yvonne) and daughter Anita Kaye Parrish. As
well as four grandchildren; Stephen Haynes (Susan), Christina Goode (Chris), Corinne Sutton (Chad),
Deidre Woodard (Griffin) and ten great grandchildren.
