William George Meyers

William George Meyers, age 95, of Ocala, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2023. He was born on April 28, 1928, in Lockport, New York to George William and Florence (Stegner) Meyers.  

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Florence Meyers, his devoted wife Joan, daughter Ann, brothers John and Frank Meyers, sister Jewel Pynn, and great grandson Joseph Bil.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three daughters Linda Meyers, Susan (William) Bil, Mary Lou (Kevin) Sweet, a sister Betty, eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. 

He was a faithful Sunday school teacher and youth leader for many years. After retiring and moving to Ocala he worked at Ocala Christian Academy in maintenance and drove the travel bus for more than 20 years. 

Visitation will be held Saturday January 6, 2024, at 10:00am at the Faith Baptist Church, 327 N Highway 314A, Silver Springs, Florida 34488. The Memorial service will follow at 11:00am.  Pastor Josh Sweet will be officiating.  A private interment will follow at Waldena Cemetery at a later date.
