William "Bill" Hurst, Sr.

Anthony - William Carlos Hurst, Sr., 72, passed away March 16, 2017. Born and raised in Anthony, on December 22, 1944, he was the son of Wilbur and Carrie Mae (Deas) Hurst. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, retired "milkman" from Borden's Dairy and co-owned and operated Ocala Mower and Cycle.  He loved his family, farming and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Gail Ann Allen Hurst and grandson, Seth Thomas Street. He is survived by his son, William C. Hurst, Jr. (Patty); daughters, Tammy Long (Tom), Tracey Hurst (Scott), Gay Street (Jim); grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Jake, Zackary, Kristian, Aden; and two great-grandchildren, Brynn and Addison.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Anthony Cemetery, Anthony, FL.  Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Marion County, Inc.
