William "Billy" Mcconnell

William Glenn "Billy" McConnell, age 79, of Fort McCoy, Florida, passed away on January 8, 2023.  He was born on January 28, 1943 in Warren, Ohio a son to the late Asher Calvin and Doris Mae (Holland) McConnell.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Gary.

He leaves behind his devoted and beloved wife of 58 years Priscilla, two sons William "Bill" (Georgeanne) McConnell Ocala, Tommy (Heather) McConnell Fort McCoy, two daughters Wendy (Gary) Swilling Winter Haven, Rebecca "Becky" (Chris) Brown Young Harris, GA, a brother Larry (Connie) McConnell Fort McCoy, a sister Vivian Wilton Loving, TX. grandchildren; Justin (Amanda) Swilling, Cameren Swilling, Ashley (Andrew) Wilson, Eric Swilling, Chelsea Brown, Brandon McConnell, Logan Brown, Blake (Jerrin) McConnell and Brooke McConnell, two sister-in-laws Lin Nichols, Sue Miles, one brother-in-law Richard "Nick" Nichols, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Billy was a Lead quality inspector with defense manufacturing. He was an avid outdoorsman and had too many friends to name individually. If he wasn’t helping out a friend or family member, Billy could be found fishing or hunting.

A memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday January 14, 2023 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Fort McCoy, Pastor Jeff May officiating.
