Willis E Chesser, age 84, of Salt Springs, Florida, passed away on November 21, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1940, in Palatka, Florida, a son of Willis L and Eva Mae Chesser.

He grew up near Johnson, Florida, and graduated from Melrose High School. He was employed with Clay Electric Cooperative for 38 years. Willis was a member of the First Baptist Church Salt Springs, where he served as a Deacon for many years.

He is preceded by his wife of 55 years, Charlene; His parents, Willis L. and Eva Mae Chesser; Sisters, Jewel Perret and Myrtle Hiers.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory; son, Dennis Chesser (Kristy); daughter, Dena Rackliffe (Joe); grandchildren, Austin Chesser, Caitlin Filipkowski, and Toni Lynn Gillespie; great grandchildren, Keaghan, Kensi, and Hallie Chesser, Brant and Grayson Filipkowski; sister, Deborah Chesser.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for January 4, 2025 at First Baptist Church Salt Springs at 11:00.

Dad would be pleased with casual attire and please wear your suspenders if you have them.
