Zachary James Sheffield

Zachary James Sheffield, Sr., age 25, of Ocklawaha  Florida, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 20, 2024. Zachary was born on November 12, 1998, in Ocala, Florida. He’s survived by his parents Isaac Sheffield and Rebecca (Gaskin) Roth; stepfather, Corey Roth; children, Tucker and Maryann O'Berry, McKenna Sheffield and Zachary Sheffield, Jr.; brothers, Tyler Sheffield and Ronald Rodriguez; sister, Caitlynn (Sheffield) Rodriguez and their children Rilee, Kyson, and Emilia Rodriguez; grandparents, Priscilla and James Lee, Karen Gaskin, and Glenn Geary. He is also survived by his aunts, Cherish Henthorn, Joy Hutcheson, as well as Cathy and Connie Levay; uncles, James Anderson and Brian Hutcheson along with many cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Stephen Anderson and his grandfather, Stephen Henthorn. Zachary was a lifelong Tampa Bay Buccaneers and University of Florida fan who had the biggest heart and was passionate about all aspects of his life. He would make a friend wherever he went, and if you were Zacharys friend he deemed you as family. He fought for what he believed in and he’s always been the best man and father he knew how to be. He was an awesome father who always did everything he could to be the best dad to all 4 of his children. Being an uncle, for him, was second best to being a daddy and he loves all these babies with his whole heart. To know him was an honor, and to be his family is a blessing. His memory will live on forever through the people he’s touched in this lifetime. Until we meet again bubba. 

Joint services for Zachary and his significant other, Hattie will be held on May 3, 2024, at 5:00pm at Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church with a viewing an hour prior. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted with Countryside Funeral Home.
