ROWELL, Charles Walter

Ocala – Charles Walter Rowell, 72, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. He was born December 14, 1947, in Ocala, Florida to Ophelia Kingsley and Albert Rowell. Charles was the youngest of his siblings.

Charles attended school in Fort McCoy and graduated from North Marion High School in 1965. Charles worked extremely hard his entire life as a surveyor for many companies with his last one being the City of Ocala. Charles met his wife, Mary Rowell, later in life and they became married on August 13, 1994. Charles and Mary were married for 26 years the day after he graduated from his earthly body to be with Mary.

He is survived by his stepson, Duane Wilson (Kara); stepdaughter, Crystal Dugan (Todd); four grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother (Ophelia Rowell), father (Albert Early Rowell), sister (Juanita Teuton) and brother (Albert Rowell).

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 11:00am located at Christ Church of Marion County with Pastor David Bellows. Christ Church of Marion County is located at 6768 SW 80th Street, Ocala, Florida 34476. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you donate to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Charles Rowell.
