With over 140 years of combined experience it is our honor to offer families an affordable option for funeral services provided with care, compassion and dignity.
Jim has served in the funeral profession for 44 years. Formerly with one of the oldest firms in Ocala for 13 years, he established a reputation for his genuine compassion in assisting families.
The funeral home is family operated by Jim and his children, Jimmy (Stephanie) and Kelsey (Jonathan). Their children grew up in Marion County, attending Blessed Trinity and Trinity Catholic. The Byrne's have been Marion County residents since 1993.
Having lived in Ocala nearly all my life, I attended Blessed Trinity throughout Elementary and Middle School before graduating from Trinity Catholic High School in 2010. It was during that time my father left Hiers Funeral Home after the company sold and became corporate to start his own firm, in an effort to bring affordable and passionate care back to the community. I worked with my father during my senior year of high school and freshman year of college before moving to Tallahassee to earn my general education associate's degree. I found myself missing working alongside my father and the beautiful community of Marion County that I grew up in.
Before starting mortuary school I met my husband who lived in Fort Lauderdale. We decided to move to Ocala to start a life together. I completed my degree from St. Petersburg College and became a licesned Funeral Director and Embalmer in 2015. We now have two young daughters, Isla Bea, and Winnie Mae. My husband is from Plantation, FL. He graduated from Broward College as a Paramedic and Coral Springs Fire Academy. He is a member of Marion County Fire Rescue as a Firefighter/Paramedic.
In our spare time we enjoy the many rivers and springs Central Florida has to offer, day trips to Ormond Beach with our daughters or traveling to foreign countries to experience all the beautiful cultures our world has to offer.
David is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He has served the citizens of Marion County for over 50 years. David is a member of Unity Baptist Church of Anthony, where he serves as a deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and choir member. He enjoys fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, farming, and any Florida Gator Sports.
He was married to the late Laura Browning, who is also an Ocala native. They have two wonderful children, Rev. Samuel W. Clements (Kellie) and Deanna Lynn Lindsey (Charles), both of Ocala, and 3 grandchildren, Kyle Clements (Ariel), Allyson Grace Clements and Jada Olivia Lindsey and 2 great granddaughters, Ellie Grace and Anna Laura Clements “It has been an honor and privilege to be in a position to help many families in their time of need. I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for placing me in this profession.”
I have lived in Marion County since 1970, growing up in the Dunnellon area. I attended Dunnellon Elementary, Middle school before graduating Dunnellon High School in 1984. Ron met his high school sweetheart Carol Secor. We married in 1986. We have 2 daughters, Heather Weiss and Brittany Weiss, both of Ocala. I have 4 grandchildren Aiden, Ava, Lily, and Matthew. I retired from the grocery business after 41 years. I spent most of my career as a Produce Manager for Winn Dixie and Kash n Karry. I also worked full time for 11 years for Publix Supermarkets. I am an avid Miami Dolphins fan who travels to all home games and also to many road games throughout the season. I have 28 years experience working in the funeral industry serving all of Marion County. I have been on staff at Countryside Funeral Home for the last 3 years. It is an honor and privilege to serve all the families we serve.
